Chair of Governors
On behalf of the Governing Body, I am delighted to welcome you to Southfield School.
As Governors, our role is to ensure that every student receives the highest quality education in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. We help support the strategic direction of the school, monitoring progress and providing both support and challenge to the school’s leadership team to ensure that the excellent standards, ethos and outcomes for which Southfield is known to flourish.
The Governing Body works closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and staff to support the school’s vision and ambitions. As Southfield recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, it was a privilege to join students, staff, parents and the wider community in recognising this important milestone and celebrating the many achievements of the school over the past five decades.
We are immensely proud of Southfield’s students, whose achievements, aspirations and contributions reflect the values at the heart of our school. We are equally grateful for the dedication of our staff and the continued support of parents and carers, whose partnership plays such an important role in the success of our school community.
Together, we remain committed to ensuring that Southfield continues to provide an outstanding educational experience, enabling every young person to fulfil their potential and thrive both in school and beyond.
